This documentation explains the Details tab within a study. This tab contains essential information related to the study's setup, data, and configuration.
1. Access Details Tab in TMC Study
-
Navigate to the TMC Study section and open the desired study.
-
Click on the Details tab at the top of the screen. This tab displays all the key details related to the selected study.
2. Study Type
This field indicates the type of study being conducted (e.g., TMC).
3. Status
-
This field displays the current status of the study.
-
Statuses Explained :
-
Approved : The study data has been reviewed and approved by someone in your jurisdiction.
-
Counted : The data was successfully imported but is pending approval.
-
Error : There was an issue importing the study data.
-
Work Order Created : A work order exists for this study, but the data has not been imported yet.
-
Started/Warning/Review Needed : These statuses indicate various intermediate steps or issues that may require attention.
-
4. Study Number (Study No.)
The unique identification number assigned to this study.
5. Section Type
-
This field specifies the type of intersection or road segment involved in the study (e.g., four-leg intersection, T-intersection, etc.).
-
Important Note :
-
The section type in the study may differ slightly from the physical configuration. For example, a three-leg intersection with an extra driveway might be labeled as a four-leg intersection for data recording purposes.
-
If there's a mismatch, a warning will appear in the Validations tab.
-
6. Aggregation Interval
The time interval, in minutes, for each data point recorded in the study (e.g., 15 minutes, 5 minutes, 60 minutes).
7. Data Collection Start Date
This field displays the start date and time for the data collection process, indicating when the study officially began.
8. Data Collection End Date
This field shows the end date and time of the data collection process, indicating when the study was completed.
9. Speed Limit
-
The speed limit field records the legal speed limit for the location where the study was conducted.
-
This data can be used to analyze traffic behavior in relation to speed regulations.
10. Traffic Counter
-
This field lists the type of traffic counter device used during the data collection.
-
Examples include devices such as the Gretch Traffic Flow Recorder or Armadillo Tracker .
-
Knowing the device used can provide context about the data's accuracy and methodology.
11. Bin Maps
-
The Bin Maps field shows the specific bin map configuration used during the study.
-
For example, "Gretch TFR with heavies" indicates the type of data bins (categories) set up during data collection.
12. AADT Calculation
This field determines whether the study is used in the Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT) calculations. By default, the study is included in AADT calculations, but you can set it to:
-
Use in AADT Calculation: Include this study in AADT calculations.
-
Do not use in AADT Calculation: Exclude this study from AADT calculations.
-
AADT Calculated from Related Study: Use data from a related study instead.
