Signal Warrant Results Overview

This documentation describes the generated warrant predictions across multiple intersections, displaying key metrics like justification percentages and predicted signal necessity.

1. Data Grid Information

Once the analysis finishes, you’ll see a Signal Warrant Prediction Analysis Result table with four main sections:

  • Location

  • Latest Study

  • Current Year

  • Prediction

2. Location

  • Location Description : Intersection name.

  • Geo ID : Internal GIS reference.

  • Traffic Control : Current control type (e.g., stop sign).

3. Latest Study

  • Latest Study Year : The year of the most recent study imported in TES.

  • Latest Justification Summary : The warrant criteria at the latest study year.

  • Latest Study Justified? : Whether the intersection was justified for a signal at the time of its last study.

4. Current Year

  • Current Year : Standardizes volumes to the present if no current-year study exists.

  • Current Year Justification Summary : The warrant criteria (e.g., volumes, hours satisfied) at that current year.

  • Current Year Justified? : Whether the intersection was justified for a signal at the current year.

5. Prediction

  • Prediction Year : The first future year in which the intersection is warranted.

  • Prediction Justification Summary : The warrant criteria (e.g., volumes, hours satisfied) at that predicted year.

  • Prediction Justified? : Whether the intersection is expected to meet the necessary criteria for signal warranting in the predicted year.

  • Rank : Priority or ranking that helps you see which intersections become warranted soonest or have the highest warrant percentages.
