Speed Radar Board Results Overview

This documentation describes the generated results for the specified locations. Additional details on the methodology used to generate these values can be found in SRB Methodology.

1. Data Grid Information

Once the analysis finishes, you’ll see a Speed Radar Board Details table with four main sections:

  • Distance

  • Normalized AADT

  • Incompliance

  • Normalized Collisions

  • Score & Rank

2. Distance

How far the typical driver speed is from the legal speed limit, using the lowest speed in the pace range.

3. Normalized AADT

How busy a road is, relative to the busiest road in the dataset. A value of 1 means this is the busiest site; lower values mean it has less traffic.

4. Incompliance

How many drivers are not following the speed limit. A value closer to 1 means most drivers are speeding.

5. Normalized Collisions

  • Collisions : How many total collisions occurred at a site, relative to the site with the most collisions.

  • Aggressive Collisions : How many aggressive collisions occurred compared to the site with the highest count.

6. Score & Rank

  • Score: A combined score that reflects overall speeding risk, taking into account:

    • How fast people are driving,

    • How many people are on the road,

    • How often they’re speeding,

    • How often and how severely crashes are happening.

  • Rank: After calculating the score for each location:

    • Sites are sorted in descending order — higher score = higher priority.

    • A rank is assigned (1 = highest risk site, 2 = second highest, etc.).

    • Lower scores are better — they indicate safer roads with fewer speeding issues.

7. Export Results

Click the Export icon to download either all rows or only selected rows as an Excel file.

8. Access SRB Map

  • Click on SRB Rank Map to see a visual heatmap of speeding activity.

  • The map displays a color-coded layer titled "SRBRankLayer" , which represents the severity of speeding-related risk at each site based on the calculated SRB score
